Austin attractions
Austin attractions are to many the finest in the state, and thatŐs saying a lot with Dallas and Houston to compete with. Mainly because of its designation as the capitol of the state, as well as its fantastic natural location and abundances, there are too many attractions for us to list here, and maybe for you to fit in a vacation schedule. We love the amazing number of green spaces to explore. Some of the best include Zilker Park and Mount Bonnell. And no trip to Austin is complete without a stop at the Barton Springs Pool. For some man-made attractions, as well as some historical relevance, check out the State Capitol building, and the Elisabeth Ney Museum. Second only in acreage to the U.S. Capitol building, but seven feet taller (this is Texas, after all) this glorious building and its history should not be missed. Daily tours, alot of walking, but worth it.
Barton Springs Pool

This natural spring pool maintains a comfy 68 degrees, and is perect during those hot Texas months. Great mossy areas for sunbathing, lifeguards, and a natural beauty. Call ahead for days and hours.
Mount Bonnell

The highest point in the city, with incredible views, picnic tables, and beautiful surroundings. 99 steps to paradise!
East 6th Street

One of the first streets in the city, with historic buildings, restaurants, shops and incredible live music venues. Friday and Saturday nights the streets are blocked off to traffic for all out street parties.
